Creative-Blossoming’s owner, Meredith Thompson studied art and psychology at Emporia State University. She spent years thriving in various job paths while still retaining her creative spirit.
For many years, Meredith ran a private art studio in her historic downtown building in Leavenworth, KS where she held glass jewelry-making parties,
Creative-Blossoming’s owner, Meredith Thompson studied art and psychology at Emporia State University. She spent years thriving in various job paths while still retaining her creative spirit.
For many years, Meredith ran a private art studio in her historic downtown building in Leavenworth, KS where she held glass jewelry-making parties, glass bead making, paintings, and digital marketing for businesses and organizations.
She always has to have a creative element in her job. Recent jobs have found her running the largest spa dealer of Master Spas in the world in CO with 6 stores as operations manager and advertising director. She held positions in advertising sales, digital and print advertising manager and general manager, marketing and advertising at the area newspaper media group in Kansas and Colorado; managing printing operations for the party department at Hallmark Cards; or as the communications and marketing director for the local Catholic Schools. Most recently, she helped run the MARTHAFORKANSAS campaign as campaign manager.
Meredith found her way back to her hometown in 2021, in a historic, award-winning commercial downtown building. She and her husband, David, as well as her child, Robin remodeled this building years prior as if creating a space for her perfect for her family and art business to move back into after living in CO and OK for 5 years. Finding herself back at a time of introspection at the mid-life point, she is ready to creatively blossom. Getting back to her passion for art she is starting an art gallery & studio with future creative classes & chats and many ideas to be inspired to follow.

Using primarily acrylic paint or mixed media, Meredith has been known to use her artistic talent to transform many different surfaces. Meredith embodies the spirit of creative freedom in her original acrylic paintings and other artwork. Using primarily acrylic paint or mixed media, Meredith has been known to use her artistic talent to transform many different surfaces. Anything from canvas, wood, glass, furniture, buildings, walls, or floors, if it looks like it can benefit from a little color, it may be fair game for her to tackle!
Besides a paintbrush, Meredith also loves to create digital art many times with marketing images or graphics. Having worked in the printing/advertising/marketing/business world for her adult working years, she is knowledgeable and talented to help with these types of projects also.
After taking years off from her art, she is eager to get back to what she enjoys, creating and seeing exactly where it leads her. Meredith has been developing her current style while creating original art paintings that feel as if it is ever blossoming with each new piece or project.

Meredith has been known to use art as an outlet to help with mental health and feels the very positive effects that the creative process can release when allowed.
She lets her paintings take her to a colorful world exploring the energy and feelings inside and around her. Meredith has found painting and being creative as a way to bring a new understanding and beauty to life. She hopes to inspire you to feel the beauty of the world around you and creatively blossom in your own life.
